Gift Boxes for
Children entertainment
Last Saturday we had the pleasure of looking after all our grandchildren. Not equipped for
entertaining five children ranging from three years old to ten years old we had to be
creative. Allen had his sight on cleaning out our store room. Everyone wanted to help
grandpa and what a surprise when they saw all the gift boxes from years and years of
storage.
I have a gift boxes business and from many years of samples they can add up. Visit our Gift Boxes page for my complete range.
The children started out by organizing all the different sizes gift boxes on the back
lawn. It did not take them long to start a building block game with the gift boxes. Gift
boxes became bricks for houses, shops, castles etc.
Like in all families the age gap started to interfere and the little ones was breaking
down the gift boxes bricks.
Grandpa got a twinkle in his eye and took the three little ones aside with a few gift
boxes. Using bottle tops and lids he made wheels for the gift boxes and there each one had
a car.
While the going was good his creativity started flowing and he created a gift boxes train.
Soon we had a yard full of gift boxes with wheels. Trains, cars, and Lorries, making all
sorts of different sounds.
With all the attention given to the smaller children the other two started taking part and
turned the tall gift boxes into robots using coloured lids to decorate them. Hat gift boxes were turned into flowers and trees using tissue
paper and ribbons from my display room.
Visit our Hat Gift Boxes page for hat gift boxes in just about any size.
Round about lunch time I had to serve lunch outside with them using gift boxes as tables
for their picnic. I took stacks of photos thinking that never in my life I thought we will
ever have use for these gift boxes anymore. Gift boxes that was destined for the rubbish
dump was now definitely going back into the storeroom to be re used when the grandchildren
visits again.
After lunch grandpa took three reluctant children away from their gift
boxes paradise for a nap.
Great was my surprise and wonder at our granddaughters creativity when I came looking for
them for afternoon tea. The two of them turned our back yard into a gift boxes dolls
wonderland. There were dolls in gift boxes used as chairs, beds, cupboards and baths. Ken
even had a few gift boxes for cars.
Most of the gift boxes were taken home that evening. Im not sure whether our
children were amused or irritated with all the gift boxes coming their way, but I do know
that we have five happy grandchildren going home that evening with special memories.
One day I know they will tell their children about their gift boxes day. Do I want to be
remembered like that? Most definitely I want to be remembered as the gift boxes grandma.
Through out my life I have realized that it is not the things that we gather but the
memories we acquire. I try to make every moment count and up until know I have used gift
boxes to make sure every gift is special for the receiver. Never did I know that one day
my gift boxes will make an event rather then a gift.
You never know what can happen next to you!
