Fairy Tale Tissue Paper
My daughter was turning eight and it was in the busy season of my
business. Somehow the arrangements was being put off until eventually it was the morning
of her birthday party. At least the guests were invited and my daughter could not wait any
longer for the surprise party I was planning.
Rightfully the claim that in the midst of a crisis you are at your best, this Tissue Paper
party was the best my daughter ever had.
Standing in my show room that morning, being the only option I had, the Tissue Paper idea was born. Visit our Tissue Paper page for a
wide variety of coloured Tissue Paper, printed Tissue Paper and Pearlized Tissue Paper.
I took stacks of Tissue Paper, ribbons and raffia in different colours and piled them on
the garden table which I moved into the garden. On my way back to the house I fumbled
Tissue Paper in balls and dropped them like Hanzel and Grethel in the story books.
Girls started arriving gathering in the lounge. The surprise follow the Tissue Paper
trail, find the Tissue Paper and create a Hanzel and Grethel house in the woods A
surprise was in store for the most creative Tissue Paper designer.
While ten girls set of for this strange Tissue Paper party I
started baking a cake and sending my husband on errands for surprise gift etc.
Through out this rush I was hoping for my daughters forgiveness for this mad Tissue
Paper party. My worries were needles, for after about two hours I went to see what they
were doing with the Tissue Paper, ribbons and raffia.
Visit our Ribbons page for a wide selection of Satin ribbons, organza ribbons, wired
ribbons and raffia.
Great was my surprise! Girl dressed in Tissue Paper skirts, dresses and even Tissue Paper
hair dressings. Some had Tissue Paper hats on there was even Tissue Paper jewelry.
The table was covered in Tissue Paper table clothes with flower in a Tissue Paper vase
decorated with ribbons. Tissue Paper makes shift plates and Tissue Paper favors was
arranged on the table.
The chairs had Tissue Paper dresses tied down with raffia. In the trees they had Tissue
Paper decorations hanging on raffia and strings of ribbons like streamers. There were
about a million Organza ribbons bows tied around the flowers and Tissue
Paper was used as ground covers in the flower beds.
Ten happy Tissue Paper covered hungry faces looked at me and my heart was bouncing with
pleasure.
This was indeed my daughters best birthday party, one of those that become an
unforgettable fond memory and will be talked about for many years to come.
In conclusion I believe that one does not need expensive and elaborate parties. Let your
imagination run wild and you might be surprised at what you can come up with.
